Sopore, Sep 30 : Ahead of the final phase of the assembly elections in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, Senior Superintendent of Police Sopore, Divya-D (IPS) said it’s a celebration in Sopore with the enthusiasm among the people.
In an exclusive interview with Kashmir Despatch, Divya-D (IPS) said that this time, in this assembly elections, it’s a celebratory mood in Sopore due to the active participation of people in the campaigning and rallies. She said they have facilitated the people by providing them with security.
She stated that the beauty of democracy is being celebrated in the Sopore Constituency, as people are really enjoying it this time, and this is the true essence of democracy.
Divya-D (IPS) mentioned that they have made adequate security arrangements in all the places for the smooth and peaceful conduct of elections in the Constituency.
Seeing the celebratory mode of people’s participation in the rallies and campaigning, she expressed hope for a good voter turnout.
In a message, Divya-D, IPS, said, “This is the beauty of democracy. We have the right to vote and exercise our constitutional and fundamental duties. I request everyone to come forward and cast their vote for the candidate of their choice.”
