Muslim families who were hiding in houses of Hindu families at Delhi’s Shiv Vihar to save themselves from anti-Muslim violence of the mob since Tuesdays were rescued and admitted to Hospitals in the northeast Delhi.
Online news portal Maktoob reported as saying after met a family who was protected by their Hindu neighbor from mob violence. Asif’s family was rescued from Shiv Vihar on Wednesday night by a group of students. Their house was torched. They were hiding in a Hindu family’s house for the past two days. Mobs have attacked the house once they came to know Muslims were hidden in the house. They had a narrow escape.
Rescuers say the insufficiency of forces delays help for affected families reported Maktoob.
Pertinent to mention here Over the past four days, violent riots in many areas in North-east Delhi have killed 22 people and injured over 200. Armed mobs have burnt down houses and shops, many of them owned by Muslims, and attacked journalists and bystanders.
According to reports, in many areas, police forces were either missing or tacitly encouraging the violence.
