Sopore, Mar 30 : The attack on BJP leader and BDC Chairperson Sopore Fareeda Begum is said to be baseless and beyond the truth.
Sources said that the statement issued by the BJP leader is fake and willfully done to keep herself in news.
In a deadly attack that took place in Sopore yesterday, three people including two MC councilors and a cop were killed.
Soon after the attack, BJP leader Fareeda allegedly tried to gain the publicity by sharing the news that she was attacked by unidentified gunmen in which three people lost their lives.
Police later on termed the statement as baseless.
Reports said that this is the second attempt BJP leader Dr Fareeda came in news but both times, the statement shared by the BJP leader proved fake.
The MC officials termed her fresh attempt a showoff and said that she was not even invited to participate in the meeting.
“It was a counsellors meeting. When she wasn’t there, how come she was attacked,” one of the counselors said.
Pertinently, 2 months back during DDC election, the BJP leader claimed that her husband was given poison by a shopkeeper, family of shopkeeper outrightly reject the allegations and termed it as publicity stunt
On December 08, BJP’s DDC candidate, Dr Fareeda Khan said that her husband felt unconscious after having a cup of tea provided to him by a shopkeeper.
Talking to Kashmir Despatch, a police officer said that the BJP leader wasn’t present in the meeting, so she wasn’t attacking.
