SOPORE : The residents of the Sopore in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district have hailed municipal authorities for clearing all roads in the area.
Reports reaching Kashmir Despatch said that ever since the heavy snowfall started across Kashmir, the man and machinery of Municipal Council (MC) Sopore have been running from pillar to post to clear roads so that people do not suffer at all.
Talking with Kashmir Despatch MC Sopore President Masrat Rasool Kar said that following the prediction of snow by the Meteorological Department, we had constituted teams which since yesterday are making sure that all the roads are cleared and normal life is continued.
She added, “We had our men and machines ready and I must tell you that they have done a fabulous job and I must guarantee you that they will continue in doing so”.
With regard to clearing inner lanes, she added that the process is on and we are hopeful those places will clear as soon as possible.
Meanwhile, locals have hailed the work done by the MC Sopore, “It is amazing to see that roads are cleared as earliest, we are hopeful that they will continue the same work in near future as well”.
