Anantnag: Amid surge in Covid-19 positive cases, the authorities have re-imposed lockdown in the Anantnag district.
As per the order issued by the Executive Magistrate which lies with the Kashmir Despatch reads, Whereas, all of us are fully aware regarding new wave of Covid 19 which continues to be in grim condition as it raged across the valley again”.
It added, “There is large scale spread of Covid 19 occuring throughout valley which has posed a major threat to public health & safety of general population.
Whereas, District Magistrate Anantnag has clearly directed in this behalf to reimpose fresh lockdown in a bid to curb the further spread of ongoing disease”.
The order added, “No shop or any commercial establishment will be allowed to open again and public transport shall remain suspended as well till further orders. Whereas, it has been impressed by District magistrate Anantnag to impose heavy fines if any failed to adhere Lockdown norms”.
“Nakas and checkpoints with deployment of covid magistrates be operated to contain the spread of virus. So, in view of above, it is impressed upon all members of VLDMC/BLDMC to adhere to the instructions imparted by District magistrate Anantnag in letter and spirit”, the order said.
