Awareness programme on Nasha Mukht Bharat Abhiyan organised in Sopore

Sopore ; An awareness programme regarding Nasha Mukht Bharat Abhiyan was organised by Department of Social Welfare Baramulla at Boys Higher secondary school Sopore on Monday.

As per Kashmir Despatch Correspondent, The objective of this program was to shed light on the escalating menace of drugs in the valley, particularly its impact on the lives of the youth.

The event witnessed the participation of several speakers who shared valuable insights and information regarding the issue of drug abuse.

The speakers on the occasion also highlighted how youth can save themselves from this evil by following religious teachings besides, also elaborated on the role of educational institutions in eradicating the drug menace.

Among the guests present at the program including SDPO Sopore, Dr. Raies Ahmad, Principal of Boys Higher Secondary School Mushtaq Ahmad Sopori, Fayaz Ahmad Lone Tehsil Social Welfare Officer, along with other representatives from TSL , health services. The event garnered significant attention and saw a substantial turnout of students from various educational institutions in the town.

Through initiatives like the Nasha Mukht Bharat Abhiyan, the Department of Social Welfare Baramulla aims to actively address the alarming rise in drug abuse and create awareness among both the youth and the general public.

These awareness programs play a crucial role in educating individuals about the adverse effects of drug addiction while also emphasizing the importance of a drug-free society.
