Baby league begins in Sopore

Sopore, (GNS) : Baby League an initiative for football development at school level for the children below 13 years was inaugurated at Sanctorum School Sopore in North Kashmir’s Baramulla on Saturday.

This league is initiative of All-India Football Federation (AIFF).

The motive of Baby league is to promote football at the grassroot level to help and groom the talented children interested in football to excel and make dreams come true.

An inaugural match was played between the students of Sanctorum school at picturesque Khushhaal Stadium Sopore which witnessed a huge number of spectators both from the school and Sopore town.

Shakir Ashraf, the organising member of Baby League said that the All India Football Federation (AIFF) ‘Baby League’ was a ‘FIFA directive’ for the promotion of football.

The Sanctorum School is among the few schools of the valley that were chosen for would this programme. ” This school has lot of students who are motivated towards football and doing in other sports so we choose this very school to benefit these players” He added.

Patron Sanctorum Institutes Mohammad Ashraf, Administrator Sanctorum Institutes Mohammad Ramzan Dar, Basharat Ahmad and Noor Mohammad executive members Jammu and Kashmir Football Association were present on this occasion.
