BANDIPORA,Mar 29: The residents of Shahgund village of North Kashmir’s Bandipora district  held a protest against the local branch of Jammu and Kashmir Bank on Wensday. The residents were protesting against the acute staff shortage at the bank, which they say has led to delays and inconvenience for customers.

The protesters, while speaking with the reporters, said that they had to wait for hours or even days to complete simple transactions due to the lack of staff at the bank.

“We have been facing this problem for months now. There are only a handful of staff members at the bank, and they are unable to handle the number of customers who come in every day. This has led to long queues and delays, and it’s causing a lot of frustration and inconvenience for all of us”,Mohd Salam a local resident said.

The protesters  appealed to higher authorities to look into the matter and resolve the issue as soon as possible. They said that the bank plays a crucial role in the lives of the people in the area, and it’s important for it to function properly.

The residents  hoped that their protest would draw attention to the issue and prompt the bank to take action to address the staff shortage.
