BANDIPORA, July 2: Public Works Department has started blacktopping several link roads in Bandipora district.
While talking to Kashmir Despatch, Mohammad Ayoub, a local at Ashtangoo village of Bandipora said: “We are very happy with the work of the department because after a long time the administration has fulfilled our demand.”
He said that macadamisation work has been started in their village. Meanwhile, giving details Executive Engineer R&B division Bandipora Abdul Qayoom said that about one kilometer of link roads in Ashtangoo village will be maintained by way of repairing or macadamization during the first phase of this drive.
He said other roads which are proposed to be blacktopped this year will be hopefully completed on time.
