Bandipora’s Selfie Point Turns Into Tragdy ; Boy Drowns to Death

Bandipora, July 03 : A 14-year-old boy drowned to death while talking bath in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district on Monday.

The incident happened at a popular selfie point near Gazebo Point on the shores of Wular Lake.

The spot is known for its scenic beauty and attracts a lot of tourists and locals.

An official told Kashmir Despatch that a 14-year-old identified as Umaan Manzoor Sheergojri son of Manzoor Ahmad SheerGojri a resident of Baramulla was drowned while talking bath.

The tragic incident has once again highlighted the need for proper safety measures and awareness campaigns near water bodies.

Meanwhile, Authorities have urged people, especially young children, to avoid swimming in open waters without adult supervision.

The incident has left the entire area in shock and grief.
