Bangladesh returned medicos pledge to fight covid pandemic

ANANTNAG, MAY 28: As many as thirteen Bangladesh returned medical students pledged to act as ambassadors in the fight against COVID-19 disease in collaboration with district administration.

The pledge was taken in presence of District Magistrate Mr. Kuldeep Krishan Sidha, who saw them off at the conclusion of 14- days administrative quarantine.

Addressing the medical students at Salia quarantine center, the DM said that it was imperative to fight the pandemic with full courage and conviction, adding that concerted efforts of administration, public and medical professionals were needed to tide over the crisis situation.

He asked the medicos to help the administration in creating wide awareness in leading a hygienic life and avoiding the infectious disease with focus on hand washing, social distancing and observing lockdown in red and buffer zones.

Earlier, the district magistrate visited several red zone areas of Shangus Nowgam and interacted with their administrators and reviewed the status of essential supplies. He called for providing dependable supply of essentials including ration and medicines in the red zones on priority.

Sidha visited covid-19 hospital Akura and took stock of the arrangements made for covid-19 positive patients.

The district magistrate was accompanied by Additional DC Ghulam Hassan Sheikh and some health officials.
