Baramulla Police Adopt GPS Tracking to Monitor Bailed Drug Peddlers

Baramulla, May 08 : After Kupwara now Baramulla police adopted latest GPS tracking technology to monitor the movement of bailed out drug peddlers.

An official told News Agency Kashmir Scroll, In compliance to an order received from honble Court, Baramulla police today installed a GPS tracking device on a bailed out drug peddler in a NDPS case of PS Baramulla.

He said the accused was arrested along with recovery of contraband and has been bailed out recently. The GPS anklet will be used to monitor the movement of the drug peddler and ensure that he doesn’t violate the bail conditions.

Pertinently, Kupwara earleir this month becomes first district in Kashmir to install GPS anklets on bailed out narcotics accused.(KS)
