Bear Captured Alive In Handwara Village : Officials

Handwara : Wildlife department authorities Saturday evening caught a wild bear alive at Zachaldara area of Handwara in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district.

An official told Kashmir Despatch that hours of hectic efforts, a team of wildlife department succeeded in tranquilising the animal and subsequently trapped it.

Locals said the bear was active in the area since past week and appreciated the efforts of wildlife team.
