Sopore, Mar 28 : In order to beautify the wasteful town of Sopore, a beautification drive was conducted in Sopore Degree College by Rouble Nagi Art foundation with the assistance of Sopore Rashtriya Rifles.
As per Kashmir Despatch, The organizers of the event said that the aim of beatification drive was to give colour to Sopore town, once called as Chota London which has lost its sheen due to piles of garbage dumped on the streets and river banks.
While as the locals blame administration for the mess and garbage in the town but the civic sense is way too important to restore the glory of this town.
One of the organizing members told Kashmir Despatch that in order to ignite the passion towards art and painting in the heart of Soporian, this event was held and more such events will be held in near future.
“We believe in connecting people through art and also in beautifying the Sopore town. These events not only give the sense of belongingness to residents but also educate them about the habits of cleanliness, hygiene and sanitisation,” she said.
The beautification drive was highly appreciated by the local populace and were amazed by the step.
