BARAMULLA: Famous Bollywood actress Vidya Balan today thanked Indian army and locals of Kashmir for their incredible hospitality and desired to visit Kashmir again in near future.
As per Kashmir Despatch Correspondent Vidya was speaking on the sidelines of a winter festival at famous health resort Gulmarg in Baramulla district of north Kashmir.
The two-day winter festival was organised by the Indian Army that witnessed Skiing, Snowmobile, ATV race and snow cycling, besides cultural performances by renowned artists of Kashmir.
“Being a part of winter festival was an opportunity to thank the brave hearts of Indian Army, who perform their duties in these extreme conditions. We thank Indian army for their incredible services to the nation,” Vidya said as per Kashmir Despatch.
Actress Vidya Balan refreshed her memories and said that her parents had come for a honeymoon in Kashmir. “I have travelled almost all the parts of the world but never got to see and witness such an amazing place like Kashmir. I was invited here by the Indian Army and it is wounderful that Indian Army is securing our borders and make us feel secure in our country.”
“Getting an an opportunity to thank the brave hearts of our country is the biggest treat,” she added.
Vidya said that she will visit Kashmir again adding, “I don’t know why i was not here in Kashmir before. I am going to post pictures from my Kashmir trip and ask tourists to visit this beautiful place on earth.”
