SRINAGAR, Apr 15: In a fresh round of organizational appointments, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory has nominated three leaders to important roles, aiming to strengthen its communication strategy as well as grassroots outreach across the region.
The appointments were made in consultation with Sat Paul Sharma, Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) and J&K BJP President, along with Ashok Kaul, General Secretary (Organization), reflecting a coordinated approach within the party leadership.
Among the key decisions is the appointment of Danish Bhat as State Spokesperson, BJP J&K.
Bhat, who has been active in party affairs, is regarded as a composed and clear communicator. His selection is seen as a move to ensure consistent and balanced articulation of the party’s position on various issues, particularly in a region where political messaging requires both sensitivity and clarity. His familiarity with local issues and measured public engagement are expected to aid the party’s outreach.
The party has also appointed Khalid Rathore as State Co-Convenor for Urban Local Bodies (ULB), J&K. Rathore’s role will be significant in strengthening the party’s engagement with urban governance structures. Known for his organizational involvement and connect with local civic matters, his appointment is likely to support the party’s efforts in addressing urban concerns and improving coordination at the municipal level.
In addition, Manzoor Ahmad Ganie has been named State Co-Convenor for the Panchayati Raj Cell, reinforcing the party’s continued focus on rural governance and grassroots institutions.
These appointments underline the BJP’s intent to streamline its organizational structure in Jammu and Kashmir by placing leaders in roles aligned with their experience and areas of engagement. The move is expected to enhance both communication and coordination as the party continues to expand its footprint across the Union Territory.
