BJP J&K chief to hold meeting with unhappy party leaders in Srinagar: Sources

 Srinagar, Aug 09 : Amid reports of mass resignation on cards by several leaders and workers, BJP J&K President Ravinder Raina has reached to Kashmir Valley where he is going to hold a high level meeting with unhappy leaders and workers on Wednesday evening.

Sources said that on August 05, party’s senior leader and General Secretary (Org) Ashok Koul held a meeting in Srinagar where several issues were discussed, but during the meeting several leaders and workers expressed their reservations on party affairs. The leaders put forth their opinion to Koul that neither their suggestions being taken seriously nor they given key positions in the party.

The disgruntled leaders said they not only have risked their own lives but their family members as well while carrying out activities in far-off places of J&K to make BJP strong.

If sources are to be believed these leaders have discontinued their party activities and distanced themselves from taking part in party functions since disagreements took place. They said the matter has been brought into the notice of BJP J&K President Ravinder Raina who have approached the disgruntled chunk for resolution of issues.

Speaking to news agency, BJP Chief Ravinder Raina admitted the cracks within the party and said the disgruntled leaders and workers have been invited for a meeting which is scheduled to be held on Wednesday (today) evening. “I have sent invitation to dissatisfied members for a meeting and will try to resolve their issues mutually,” Raina said.

He however said “further details will be shared later on,”.

Notably a news report was rounding on social media that 52 BJP leaders are going to distance themselves from the party due to some internal crisis. (KNS)
