Blood donation camp held in Srinagar

Srinagar, October 01:- In view of International & National Voluntary Blood Donation Day, a mega Blood Donation Camp was organised by Jammu & Kashmir Employees Coordination Committee (JKECC) on Saturday at SP Higher Secondary School, Srinagar.

The blood donation camp was inaugurated by Mr. Sujit Kumar IPS, DIG Central Kashmir, who on the occasion said that we appreciate such initiatives and to curb drug menace completely, society needs to come forward.

While appreciating the efforts of JKECC and it’s affiliated association who organise the camp, DIG Sujit said, “Participates in blood donation camp is a noble cause and one who donates blood, Allah elevates his stature, forgives his sins on the day of judgement. “


In addition to DIG Sujit various other signatories and beurocrates participated in the blood donation camp including Mr. Abid, Addl. Commissioner, Kashmir, Dr. Tassaduq Hussain, JKAS, Director School Education, Kashmir, Mr. Deep Raj (JKAS) , UT Project Director, Samagra Shiksha, J&K, Mr. Naseer Ahmad, JKAS, Special Secretary to Education, Dr. Attaul momin, PO to DSEK, Mtr Nighat Ara, ZEO Batamalo and other dignitaries. A warm welcome was presented to all the guests and to donors by Mr. Hatim Quyoom, Chief Coordinator, JKECC.

Talking to the reporters on the sidelines of the event, Shah Fayaz, President, JKECC, who is also Chairman, Jammu & Kashmir Teachers Association(JKTA) said that JKECC is an amalgam of various departmental associations of J&K Govt Employees and is working for the welfare of employees and the government.

“We, at JKECC, are not only protest for genuine demands of the J&K Employees but we also fight against drug menace, work for society in other aspects like lending helping hands during disasters like earthquakes, COVID19 amd such issues, ” Shah added.

While extending his gratitude to all the guests and donors, Shah said that our beurocrates who participated in the camp come forward for the cause of the society like todays blood donation then it is sure that we would be able to eradicate all the social evils in the society.
Pertinent to mention, during the said camp more than 100 donors take part and donated their red wealth for the cause of society. The camp was organised by JKECC in collaboration with various departmental associations like Jammu & Kashmir Teacher’s Associations, Jammu & Kashmir College Contractuals Association, Jammu & Kashmir ICDS Supervisors Union, Jammu & Kashmir Vocational Trainers Welfare Association and some NGO’s including J&K Students Welfare Mission, Rehash Foundation and other civil Societies. A warm vote of thanks to all the guests and all the donors was presented by Er. Altaf Rasool, General Secretary, JKECC.

Notably the event was concluded successfully with appreciations from various social corners.
