Says Everyone Is a Fan of PM Modi; Under His Leadership, We Feel Secure and Safe

Srinagar, Dec 20: Bollywood star Yami Gautam stated that the policies of Prime Minister Narendra Modi have driven development in the union territory of Jammu and Kashmir and have promoted tourism.
During a summit on a national TV channel, as per Kashmir Despatch, she said, “Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s policies have transformed the entire scenario in Kashmir.” She emphasized that the transition in development and the surge in tourism is a clear reflection of the Prime Minister’s initiatives in the region.
Sharing her experience from her recent film “Article 370,” Yami expressed that filming in Kashmir was particularly heartwarming due to the evident development and peaceful conditions.
She stated, “It was Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s decision to abrogate Article 370 that has truly transformed the situation in Kashmir. While shooting, I observed firsthand how development and a renewed focus on tourism have helped Kashmir regain its identity on the global stage in just five years.”
Yami noted that during the filming, she witnessed an influx of tourists, remarking, “It was wonderful to see the changing landscape of Kashmir, which was once a hotbed of militancy.”
She added that the improved situation in Kashmir made her film possible, crediting Prime Minister Modi for his leadership and proclaiming that he truly deserves recognition for making the country secure.
The Bollywood actress remarked that after the abrogation of Article 370, she felt pride seeing the Indian flag flying in Kashmir.
She further shared, “Everyone is a fan of Narendra Modi. The world is talking about him. He is a true leader in every sense of the word. Under his leadership, we feel secure and safe. His clarity of thought is remarkable.”
Notably, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also praised the film “Article 370” and encouraged people to watch it, as it provides important insights into the region.
The film, directed by Aditya Dhar—renowned for his work on “Uri: The Surgical Strike,” for which he received the National Film Award for Best Director—features Gautam in the role of an intelligence agent, addressing the issue of terrorism in Kashmir by rendering Article 370 ineffective.
On August 5, 2019, the central government revoked Article 370, which granted special status to the former state of Jammu and Kashmir and bifurcated it into the union territories of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh.
