Sopore, May 09 : A 13-year-old boy drowned in an irrigation channel at Reban village of north Kashmir’s Sopore on Sunday afternoon.
An official told Kashmir Despatch that a young boy identified as Salik Ahmad son of Imran Ahmad a resident of Rehan drowned in an irrigation channel when he along with frends were swiming there.
Sources informed this newspaper that the portion of an irrigation channel fell on him during the swiming and he was critically injured, However he was taken to sub district hospital Sopore where doctors declared him brought dead.
A doctor at the hospital told Kashmir Despatch that he was recieved in a critical condition and here he was brought dead.
Meanwhile, police took cognizence of this incident.
