BSF organised a Circket Tournament in Handwara


In its effort to continue public outreach and encourage sports activities in the valley, BSF 26 BN has organized a cricket tournament in North Kashmir’s Handwara sub district.

Tournament is being held at bSF ground area of handwara Sub District

The closing ceremony of the tournament on Monday was witnessed the presence of BSF Sh.I H Khan Comdt/Adm Sector Headquarter Kupwara, along with Sh. Lienzakai Sitlhou Comdt 26 BN BSF Handwara along with officers, Sos and Ors.

The ceremony was also attended by various prominent persons of civil institutions

The tournament is being organized by 26 BSF battalian, Handwara. A total of 4 teams have taken part in this tournament which was being played on a knock-out basis.

While encouraging the young players, the Chief guest during his address impressed upon them to utilize this golden opportunity not only to showcase their talents but also to imbibe some of the most important life lessons through the medium of sports.

He appreciated the efforts of the organising committee for conducting the event and was pleased to see the large numbers of an enthusiastic audience that had come to witness the Final ceremony.

The Final match was played between Waskhura Cirket Culb and Star eleven melyal to mark the ending of the tournament.

The players while lauding the efforts of the Bsf 26 unit said that such an event should be organized on a regular basis in order to bring out the hidden talent among the Kashmiri you
