Budgam Police arrested two timber smugglers & seized illegal timber in Rathsun area of Beerwah Budgam.
During naka checking at Rathsun crossing, police party of Police Station Beerwah intercepted a vehicle(Load Carrier) bearing registration number JK13E-8766. During checking, 39 logs of illegal timber was found in the vehicle.Two smugglers on board were arrested on spot who have been identified as Siraj-u-Din Bhat son of Ghulam Ahmad Bhat & Sajad Ahmed Bhat son of Sona-ullah Bhat both residents of Rathsun Beerwah & vehicle used in the commission of crime was also seized.
A case FIR Number 56/2022 under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Beerwah & investigation taken up.
