Budgam police busts a gang of burglars, stolen property and vehicles recovered

December 27: Police in Budgam busted a gang of burglars and arrested 03 burglars involved in the criminal offence. Stolen property and vehicles were also recovered.

On reception of several complaints about burglary in the areas of Magam, a special team was constituted to investigate the incidents of burglary.

During the course of investigation, officers investigating the case arrested three persons who were identified as Bilal Ahmad Khan resident of Agar Dangarpora, Mohammad Malla resident of Malmooh Magam and Mohammad Maqbool Malla resident of Chaker Batpora Breewah.

When the officers spoke to them, they learnt about their involvement in several burglary cases. Investigating officers were able to recover stolen property including gold ornaments and vehicles. All the arrested persons have been shifted to police station where they remain in custody.

Cases under relevant sections of law stand registered at Police Station Magam. The investigation in the matter is in progress. More arrests and recoveries are expected.

Police has resolved to act tough against inimical and anti-social elements.
