Sopore : Burglars on Friday night loot a a masjid in Rafiabad area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
Masjid Committee Bhagat colony Rohama in a statement issued to Kashmir Despatch said, Unfortunately and deeply regretting that Masjid sharif Baghat colony Rohama was robbed last night where the inverter, electric transformer and battery was stolen.
Masjid sharif faced the loss of around 60000 and this is not the first time we are facing this. This is very unfortunate that today we are witnessing this situation where our masjid sharifs are not safe. We request the authorities and local organisations of rohama to take the strict action against those who dare to do this unacceptable crime the statement reads.
Meanwhile, police took cognizance of this shameful incident.
