Care Hospital Bemina still functional even after authorities cancel its registration

Rules, Regulations being violated as hospital still involved in illegal practices, say locals

Srinagar, June 18 : Even as the authorities cancelled its registration, the Care Hospital in Bemina area of Srinagar is still functional while as the authorities concerned are acting as mute spectator.

Officials told news agency that Care hospital was found involved in illegal activities following which its registration was cancelled.

The document, dated 19-02-2020, available with news agency read that the hospital registration was cancelled from the date of expiry of the registration for running the hospital in violation of rules and regulations. “Though the request put forth by the proprietor is not covered under rules, however, the hospital are allowed to use the prmemises for OPD purpose only for six months from the date of representation made by the owner of the hospital i.e. 31-05-2018, as on date the hospital/nursing home was not registered for renewal of registration,” the document reads.

However, the officials as well as the locals alleged that the hospital is still functional and is still violating the rules and regulations by indulging in illegal practices.

They appealed the Directorate of Health Services Kashmir (DHSK) to intervene into the matter and ensure that the hospital is not allowed to continue with the illegal practices—(KNO)
