Christians celebrate Christmas in Valley

Srinagar, Dec 25, : Christmas was celebrated on Tuesday in Kashmir with special prayers for world peace held at the churches across Valley.

The biggest gathering in the Valley was held at the Holy Family Catholic Church at Maulana Azad Road in the Srinagar city, where scores of Christians including females and children assembled to celebrate the birthday of Jesus Christ (PBUH) and held special prayers.

The church was decorated with colorful buntings and balloons and wore a festive look.

Prayers were also held at Saint Luke’s Church and All Saints’ Church in the city, Saint Joseph’s Church in north Kashmir’s Baramulla, the oldest Catholic Church in Jammu and Kashmir and at the Church in the tourist resort of Gulmarg. (CNS)
