Srinagar: Clashes erupted during cordon and search operation in Guglura locality of Pinjoora area of Shopian district.
Reports said that as soon as the search operation was started in the area, youth took to streets and started throwing stones on government forces after which forces resorted to aerial firing to disperse the stone throwing youth.
Earlier, acting on specific inputs about the presence of militants in the area, joint team of forces including 44 RR launched search operation in the area.
As per local sources search operation amid clashes is going on in the area.
An official confirmed that search operation was launched in the area after having inputs about presence of militants however contact wasn’t established yet.(KNO)
