Clinic, chemist shop run by quack seized in Pulwama

Srinagar, Mar 05: A clinic run by a quack was on Tuesday seized along with a chemist shop in south Kashmir’s Pulwama, officials said.

An official told news agency—Kashmir News Observer, the action was taken after a video, in which a person namely Firdous Ahmad is seen prescribing medicines to patients, went viral on social media.

He said that following this a team was constituted that visited the premises near district hospital Pulwama and found that the clinic was being run without any registration by a quack.

“The person was also prescribing medicines to patients without having any basic qualification. During the inspection prescription pads by Firdous Ahmad, CCTV footage were also seized as evidence,” he said.

He added that the clinic along with chemist shop were also seized and further enquiry into the matter has been taken up—(KNO)
