New Delhi, July 1: Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) on Wednesday reduced the price of 19-kg commercial LPG cylinders by Rs 183.50, offering significant relief to restaurants, hotels, caterers, dhabas and other commercial users. The revised prices came into effect from July 1 as part of the monthly fuel price revision.
With the latest revision, the price of a 19-kg commercial LPG cylinder in Delhi has been reduced to Rs 2,930 from Rs 3,113.50. Similar reductions have been announced in other major cities, with the cut ranging between Rs 173 and Rs 183.50 depending on the location.
However, there is no change in the price of 14.2-kg domestic LPG cylinders used by households. The rates for domestic cooking gas remain unchanged across the country, providing stability for residential consumers.
The reduction in commercial LPG prices is expected to ease operational costs for businesses in the hospitality and food service sectors, which rely heavily on LPG for daily operations. The cut follows recent easing in fuel supply pressures and comes after commercial cylinder prices had witnessed multiple hikes in previous months.
