Cong leaders insulting freedom fighters : Chugh

Spreading negative narrative to counter PM’s development agenda

Chandigarh, March 28: BJP national general secretary Tarun Chugh today said any disrespect to Vir Sararkar would be tantamount to showing the entire freedom struggle in poor light.

Reacting to disparaging remarks of senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi in a recent interaction with the media, Chugh said it reflected a poor understanding of the history and also amounted to an insult to the freedom struggle in which Sarvarkar had made a valuable contribution.

He said the Congress leaders have been basically trying to spread an anti-India narrative. Sometimes they are pleasing their mentors in Pakistan ISI while taking biryani in J&K, some other times they are dancing to the tunes of disruptive elements who are out to destabilise the country.

Chugh said the Modi government was determined to defeat such nefarious designs by following an agenda of development and progress and taking the country to new heights.
