JAMMU JULY 21- National Conference State Secretary and former MLC Mr Rattan Lal Gupta today condemned the irresponsible and malicious remarks of the Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on the release of former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister and party Vice President Mr Omar Abdullah, saying this is reflective of the frustration amid crisis within the Congress due to infighting and lack of leadership.
“After Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan, the crisis and cracks within the Congress are now developing in Chhattisgarh also which is why the Chief Minister is resorting to such type of utterances to weather his political storm by remaining relevant in the party”, Mr Gupta said in a statement, adding that the Congress has lost its credibility and political efficacy across the country. The crisis within the party has left the Congress leaders in utter disarray and in a vain bid to keep the flock together they were indulging in falsehood. He said the remarks about Mr Omar Abdullah are just manifestations of the frustration of the Chhattisgarh Chief Minister, which needs to be treated with contempt.
Mr Rattan Lal Gupta assailed the malicious attributions of Mr Baghel and said that this can only be figment of imagination of a sick mind. He said by resorting to such irresponsible utterances, Mr Baghel has exposed his political understanding and the real character of the Congress, which has lost its plot in Indian politics.
