Baramulla, Jun 29 : Indian Youth Congress on Saturday held a convention at Dak Banglow Baramulla.
After its defeat in the recent Lok Sabha elections, J&K Indian Youth Congress (IYC) held a convention in Baramulla on Saturday for strengthening the party on ground level.
In the day long convention Keshav Chand Yadev National President INY and Shrinivas BV National Vice President IYC participated as chief guest. Besides, senior party leader Taj Mahidin, District President Shoiab Nabi Lone, Municipal Council Chairman Omar Kakroo and all Congress Councilors were present on the occasion.
Large gathering of people across Baramulla district participated in the convention which held at Sherwani Hall Baramulla.
On the occasion Senior Congress leader Taj Mahidin said that during the tenure of Congress people of Jammu and Kashmir never been divided, he said that Congress always believes on brotherhood especially in Kashmir but it is BJP who are here to divide people.
Senior Congress leader Taj Mahidin said that people should trust Congress and their problems will be solved at the earliest when the party comes to power.
Taj said that they know “the previous government has abandoned the people of Kashmir and pushed them towards violence”.
Congress senior leader focussed to strengthen the party on ground level for the upcoming elections in the state.
Meanwhile talking with Media in the sidelines of the function senior Congress leader Taj Mahidin said that BJP is behind the mob lynching incidents, he said that BJP is the party who wants to divide people and wants to make them suffer. Senior Congress leader said that elections should be on time in Jammu and Kashmir sothat people will not suffer more.
