Srinagar : Unidentified gunmen on Sunday evening shot dead a contractor in south Kashmir’s Tral village.
Reports reaching Kashmir Despatch said a civilian identified as Ghulam Nabi of Payan area of Tral was shot by unidentified gunmen this evening and injured him critically.
However, he was rushed to hospital where doctors declared him brought dead on arrival reports added.
The reason behind the attack is not known yet, a police official told Kashmir Despatch. He said that whole area has been cordoned off to nab the attackers.
Pertinent to mention here deceased was working as a contractor in the village.
