Cop electrocuted in Pattan

Pattan, August 20: A policeman on leave died due to electrocution in north Kashmir’s Pattan village.

An official told Kashmir Despatch that a 29-year-old policeman who was posted at IRP Battalion Parihaspora Pattan was electrocuted to death while repairing electric wire when he came in contact with live wire at his home at Wanigam Pattan.

A police officer also confirmed to Kashmir Despatch about the death of cop and identified him as Hilal Ahmad Bhat son of Wali Mohammad Bhat. The officer said he was on leave and died at his home. He said a case has been registered and further investigation has been initiated.
