JAMMMU, Mar 09: A constable of Indian Reserve Police Force on Tuesday shot dead his wife and her parents at their residence in Phalayan Mandal Jammu.
According to Kashmir Despatch correspondent, a constable namely Rajinder Kumar a resident of Gajansoo Marh of Jammu district posted in IR battalion is said to have entered in some dispute with his inlaws which resulted into a fatal incident.
The accused cop had taken his service weapon A K 47 along to his in laws residence where he resorted to indiscriminate firing on his wife and his parents who got killed on the spot. Few other family members are said to have sustained severe injuries in the incident.
The three bodies have been kept at GMC Jammu and the injured are under treatment.
The accused cop is said to have married seven years ago and has two children from the slain wife.
Meanwhile, in an official release issued by Jammu police, a spokesman said an information was received at PP Mandal Phallain that one person namely Rajinder Kumar who is serving in police has fired upon his wife and in-laws namely
1. Seema devi( wife),
2. Romesh kumar( father in law) and
3. Raj Kumari (mother in law) at their home in Allora village with his service weapon. As a result this, his mother in law succumbed on spot where as both father in law and wife shifted to GMC jammu in seriously injured conditions. All three have succumbed to injuries. On this a Case has been registered at PS Satwari.
Acting swiftly a team of PS Satwari with active assistance from concerned PS/PP arrested accused from Gajansoo. Further investigation of the case is going on.e accused cop has tried to commit suicide but was prevented by the police that reached the spot in time and nabbed him.
