Councilor 5-Taisuru LAHDC Kargil Abbas Rizvi called on Lt. Governor

Leh, Sept 15: Councilor 5-Taisuru LAHDC Kargil Saeed Abbas Rizvi on Monday called on Lt Governor Laddakh RK Mathur to discuss various issues of public concern.

In a statement issued to here, Saeed Abbas Rizvi said industrial sector, trade and commerce activities in Laddakh have come to a grinding halt since August 5, 2019 and whatever was left in the trade and other business activity was crushed due to COVID lockdown. “Be it Tourism, Agriculture, Horticulture and Hotel industry, all the mainstay of Ladakh economy is under severe depression since August last year,”.

In his meeting to Lt. Governor, Abbas requested him to schedule a visit to Sankoo sub division of Kargil to learn about their problems , developmental requirements and potentials.

He also submitted a memorandum requesting the Lt. Governor to consider the issues of a declaration of DSSRB result, announcement of J&K Bank notification for Ladakhi service selection board and Ladakh Public Service Commission to conduct various non-gazatted posts in government departments of UT Ladakh.
