SRINAGAR : The High Court on Tuesday adjourned the hearing in Biscoe Mallinson Society ‘Corruption’ Case till October 12, 2021 after the government sought a four-week time to submit its objections.
The case was adjourned by Justice Vinod Chaterjee Koul who heard the matter. Following a complaint received from two whistle-blowers within Tyndale Biscoe & Mallinson Girls Society, the crime branch Kashmir had initiated an inquiry into gross misappropriation of funds within Tyndale Biscoe and Mallinson Girls educational society in 2020.
However, soon after the investigations began, the allegedly involved Koul family approached the High court of Jammu and Kashmir and the court ordered a stay into the inquiry.
Pertinently, in the objections submitted in the High Court of Jammu and Kashmir, the crime branch Kashmir has earlier stated that the Tyndale Biscoe & Mallinson Girls Society has been “hijacked by a single family and turned into a personal business enterprise.”
Sources in the Crime Branch said that it has come to light that assets worth more than 300 Crores belonging to Tyndale Biscoe & Mallinson Girls Society have been incorporated as personal property of a single family.
It’s important to mention here, Parvaiz Samuel Kaul was appointed as principal of Tyndale Biscoe school in 1987. Subsequently, in the years that followed, his wife too was appointed headmistress of twin schools namely The Mallinson Girls & Kashmir Valley, and their son Rahul Rex Kaul, made administrator Tyndale Biscoe & Mallinson Girls Society to overlook the administration of the society and its assets.
