Srinagar, June 15, : Former notorious government gunmnn Papa Kishtwari who is being accused of murdering dozens of innocent civilians Saturday in an open court claimed that some policemen received Hawala money from Pakistan to implicate him in what he said ‘false and frivolous’ murder cases.
Papa Kishtwari who is languishing in Jail was produced before the court in connection with the abduction and killing of a Nishat based contractor Ali Muhammad Mir.
Advocate Babar Qadri, the counsel for the petitioner Zahoor Ahmed Mir while refuting these allegations pleaded that accused is coming up with concocted fables to mislead the court. He said that all witnesses deposed before the court has labeled the accused as killer and abductor. He said police have done its job with dedication and honestly.
After listening the arguments, court listed the case for the next hearing on July 1 next month. (CNS)
