COVID-19: 40 more test positive in J-K

Srinagar, May 22: Fourty more persons on Friday have tested positive for COVID-19 in Jammu and Kashmir.


With these fresh 40 cases the total toll of COVID infected persons in Jammu and Kashmir rose to 1487.


A health official told Kashmir Despatch that total of 33 persons tested positive for this deadly virus in Kashmir division, while 7 were reported in Jammu.


As reported earlier by Kashmir Despatch that 16 residents of Shopian were tested positive for COVID-19 at viral diagnostic lab at SKIMS Bemina.


As per the final COVID-19 summary which lies with Kashmir Despatch reads ten at a viral diagnostic laboratory at SKIMS Soura include Four from Baramulla, Two from Shopian, Two from Kupwara and two from Srinagar. While seven others were reported at Microbiology Lab of CD Hospital.


Meanwhile rest seven were reported from Jammu division.
