Srinagar, June 8, : An elderly woman from Baramulla District became fresh victim of COVID-19 in the union territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
News agency KNT quoted sources as saying that a female patient died in the hospital ward at SMHS hospital and was tested positive for COVID-19.
A medico said the deceased woman hails from Sheikh Pora Kreeri area of North Kashmir’s Baramulla district and she was 70 years old news agency KNT reported.
She had been admitted in the hospital on 6 June.
With this fresh death the toll due this virus in Jammu and Kashmir rises to 46.
Pertinently, This is fifth death in a single day in Kashmir, Earleir four persons died due to this virus among a CRPF trooper who was posted at South Kashmir District, A 35 year old resident of Khaniyar Srinagar, A 65 year old man from Handwara and a 55 year old man from Pampore town of south Kashmir.
