SRINAGAR, April 13: In the scenario of corona crises there are many frontline warriors other than the medical fraternity, police, security forces, food department and the media who are working round the clock using multi pronged methods to fight this deadly disease from spreading in Jammu and Kashmir.
Now after the confirmed report of positive cases of COVID 19 among Tigers in USA, the Jammu and Kashnir wild life and forest department has geared up its technical human resources to spread awareness among the people living closer to the forest areas which particularly are the habitation of wild life in Jammu Kashmir.
The forest department and wild life has deputed some officers for this particular job.
Sajad Shah is one among these young block level officers who is vigorously working for the cause and has been on move since the order for such campaign reached the forest secretariat.
This officer has become frontline warrior as he along with his team has been moving to upper reaches of Zabarwan mountain range, Harwan and the adjacent areas in district Srinagar spreading awareness and warnings to the inhabitants to save their lives and protect others also by strictly remaining inside their homes and away from forest and wildlife habitation.
“This young officer is not doing less important job than our police, medical fraternity and the media who are playing a historical role to tackle this corona crises,” Abdul Rashid Dar, an inhabitant of Harwan told KashmirDespatch.
He said the officer along with his team has been risking his life for reaching to the far off places falling under the wildlife department jurisdiction in district Srinagar.
The inhabitants of the area expressed gratitude to the wildlife department for creating mass awareness in the peripheral areas of the Srinagar which according to them have been otherwise neglected by the government.
