COVID-19 : BDO office Sangrama forces poor people to face misery

Baramulla : While whole world is fighting against COVID-19, Poor people here in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district are forced to face tough times because of ill behaviour from Block department.

Reports reaching Kashmir Despatch said a Block development office in Sangrama area or Sopore has shut it’s office and work progress without clearing the mendatory bills of the poor people and forced them to face misery.

Reports said across Kashmir all blocks have already cleared the bills amid this growing COVID-19 scare, however its only Sangrama block which is lacking behind.

People related to the BDO Sangrama are demanding clearance of their pending dues at earliest sothat they won’t face hard times during the given circumstances.

Additional Deputy Commissioner Sopore Ashiq Hussain Lily refused to comment as saying it’s not mine cup of tea better to contact concern BDO he ll assist you apart.

Meanwhile when contacted Block Development Officer Sangram Hilal Ahamd Mir said such allegations are baseless as we are keeping in mind the procedural protocol of COVID-19 accordingly we are assisting and helping the general public , he said we are maintaining the social distancing approach due to which people might be feeling we are nit upto the task. Hilal said me and my co-mates are doing their best whatever possible. He assured Kashmir Despatch that within short duration of times issue will be resolved.
