94 fresh cases reported in a single day

Sopore : Fear gripped in north Kashmir’s Sopore as 94 COVID-19 positive cases were reported in a single day on Wednesday.
Sources told Kashmir Despatch, Coronavirus positive cases continued a trouble spike this week for the residents of Sopore town as 94 more fresh cases were reported today only.
Confirming to Kashmir Despatch nodal officer Dr Shahid said that in the last 24 hours, 94 people were tested positive for this virus.
He said the increase in COVID cases is a worrisome sign, however appealed to people to co-operate and follow all health guidelines.
The officer added, 350 people were tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 6 days in Sopore.
As per the data available, eight cases of Omicron variant so far have been detected in the union territory of Jammu and Kashmir, among 4 from Jammu and 4 from Kashmir.
Pertinently, the Government on Wednesday warned people not to take this third wave of COVID lightly.
The government information reads, “Omicron is not common cold, cannot take it lightly; need to be vigilant, get vaccinated, follow Covid-appropriate behaviour”.
