Kashmir witnesses 14 deaths in a single day

Srinagar, August 08: Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday reported 14 more COVID related deaths, taking the death toll due to the virus in J&K to 468.
An official told Kashmir Despatch that on Saturday 14 more persons died due to COVID-19 in Kashmir Division.
He said among a 55-year-old woman from Nowhara Tahab Pulwama, a 50-year-old man from Zaloora Sopore, a 70-year-old man from Kreeri Baramulla, a 65-year-old man from Sopore Baramullah, a 60-year-old man Panzgam Kupwara, a 50-year-old woman from Natipora Srinagar, a 70-year-old man from Nawa Kadal Srinagar, a 58-year-old man from Gurez Bandipora, a 70-year-old man from Handwara Kupwara, a 70-year-old woman from Khanmoh Pantha Chowk, a 70-year-old woman from Bijbehara Anantnag, a 60-year-old woman from Qaimoh Kulgam, a 65-year-old woman from Tangmarg and a 55-year-old woman from Sogam Lolab.
With these deaths, officials said, 468 people have succumbed to the virus in Jammu and Kashmir so far.
Among them, they said, 434 were from the Valley while 34 others from Jammu division.
