COVID-19 : J-K records third death, toll 39

Srinagar, June 06 : Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday recorded third death due to COVID-19, taking the overall toll to 39.

A health official told Kashmir Despatch, A swab sample of an elderly man from North Kashmir’s Handwara turned positive for COVID-19. The officer said he was yesterday admitted at Srinagar hospital and died on Saturday morning.

Earleir this day two lives were lost due to this deadly virus, a 70 year old man from Nowpora Shopian while a 62 year old lady from Miran Sahib Jammu.

With this fresh death the toll in the union territory of Jammu and Kashmir now stands at 39.
