COVID-19 : Positive turned negative patient dies at CD hospital

Srinagar: A 70 year old patient who was admitted at chest disease hospital Srinagar on Monday died, however, it was not confirmed immediately whether the Patient has died due to Coronavirus or not.

Nodal officer Saleem Tak talking with Kashmir Despatch said a 70 year old man died this afternoon, however it is not clear yet whether his death is due to COVID-19 or normal’.

He however said we are verifying the cause of death and shortly we will come up with exact fact.

Head of Department CD Hospital Srinagar Dr Naveed Shah said, the patient was tested positive for coronavirus but later he was reported negative. We are waiting for his test reports whether at present he was COVID or not,”.

Pertinently, the death toll due to COVID-19 stands at 13 in Jammu and Kashmir including 11 from Kashmir and two from Jammu Divison.
