COVID-19 Scare: Pulwama authorities Intensified Fumigation Process

Pulwama Mar 23: The district administration Pulwama monday intensified fumigation process in various areas of the District including in Tehsil headquarters and its adjoining areas. The teams of Health and Municipality were seen in different parts of the district while spraying the chemical.The teams have been provided special uniform and equipment to make all process effective and safe.

A group of officials from District administration and police visited various spots to acces the day-long process of fumigation, while as the police and paramilitary forces had been deployed in strength during the process to strict the movement of people.

Meanwhile the Executive officer Pulwama Municipal Committee told Kashmir Despatch that” We have done the strelization process at some valunarable places and sanitized the area across the District and such process will continue” he said. Besides all garbage dumping sites had been sanitised all railway stations schools and and hospitals in the Jurisdiction.

Executive officer Municipal Committee Tral and Awantipora Manzoor Ahmad told Kashmir Despatch that” we are also in this job of fumigation in municipal limits and beyond to strelise the area” he said.

The Tehsildar Pampore told this correspondent that “We have not left any corner of the Tehsil headquarter and it’s adjoining villages, including Khrew area of the Tehsil. As our teams in collaboration with Municipal Committee Pampore and Khrew had left no stone unturned to fumigate and strelise the area. He said.

Earlier the District adminstartion Pulwama had issued issued several orders for enforcement of precautionary measures within the jurisdiction in view of coronavirus threat,after that all public congregations, social, political and religious, have been barred within the District.

Meanwhile all educational institutions and coaching centers, sports stadiums have been closed as pecautionary measures in view of coronavirus scare.
