COVID 19 testing: Technical snag halts e-tendering, bidders appeal Govt to intervene for making process transparent

Date:

Srinagar,July 30 :Technical errors that occurred repeatedly during the tendering process through electronic mode have left the bidders high and dry from Kashmir. They have sought government’s intervention at an earliest to make the process transparent.
The people who were scheduled to submit their tenders in National Health Mission (NHM) for COVID testing on Wednesday appealed the authorities to extend the last submission date or go for re-tendering.
The NHM had earlier invited online tendering proposals from ICMR approved Labs for undertaking RT-PCR testing, along with reporting as per ICMR testing protocols of samples from J&K for COVID-19 on ‘as and when required’.
The locals who were scheduled to submit their tenders said that the last date for submitting the tender regarding COVID testing was today, but the website remain down from last evening.
“We were not able to submit our tender today due to the technical error in the website. We appeal the concerned authorities to look into the matter and also extend the date for submission of tendering,” they said, appealing Jammu and Kashmir’s Lt Governor to reschedule the tendering for that all deserving persons could submit their tenders for a FairPlay.
