SOPORE: Three faculty members of Government Degree College (GDC) Sopore have tested positive for Covid-19, official sources said.
Further, the institute has been closed for two days. As per the order copy, which lies with Kashmir Despatch, three faculty members of the English Department have been tested positive.
As three of our faculty members from the Department of English tested Covid-19 positive, accordingly college advisory committee under the leadership of the undersigned decided to close the college for two days to avoid the spread of the virus, it reads.
The same was communicated to the Additional District Magistrate on phone, who also advised for the closure of the college for two days. Hence keeping in view the safety of the students and the staff, the college will remain closed for two days w.e.f 23rd December to 24th December 2021, it added.
