COVID-19: Two drug peddlers held in Sopore village

Sopore: Police on Friday evening claimed to have arrested two drug peddlers in North Kashmir’s Sopore village.

Reports reaching Kashmir Despatch said, a team of police laid naka at Chinar crossing Warpora and intercepted a four Wheeler bearing Reg no; JK06-2018 and arrested two persons and recovered large quantity of illegal drugs from their possession.

A police official posted at Warpora Mudasir Nazar told Kashmir Despatch that we are working hard to catch a mafia behind these culprits, who is involved in dealing and supplying of illegal drugs.

The officer identified both as Hilal Ahmad War alias shakir S/o Mohd Shafi war R/o Warpora, Ishfaq Ahmad Reshi S/o Mohd Ashraf Reshi R/o Watlab.

Police said in this regard a case FIR No.71/2020 U/S 8/22 NDPS has been registered and further investigation has been taken up.
